Held over the July school holidays, Cardboard Utopias was part of the ‘Kids in the Studio’ drop-in program at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. Visiting families were able to take part in workshops with Lisa and Rachel to help create a piece of the utopia cityscape. Made from paper templates, cardboard and everyday materials, the many creations then became part of an evolving installation that grew over the 12-day period.
